A bombarda is a weighted float used for casting small flies or lures on your spinning rod allowing you to get great distance using the smallest of baits. The bombarda Bomb float itself consists of a bulbous weighted acrylic oval shaped bomb with a removable wire connector through which the main line is attached without needing beads and stoppers, the beauty of the Bombarda Bomb is it can be attached straight to a snap link enabling you to switch from lure to this method and back with need to cut any line or re rig your setup. A bombarda float lets you cast all types of flies and micro lures out to a much greater distance than it can be casted on its own. Basically, it's fly fishing with spinning gear and has become a very deadly way of fishing for the likes of Bass and Sea Trout, ideal for sandeel and shrimp pattern flies slowly retrieved with small jabs to create a realistic swim action.
